Ask yourself: Do you really wanna check all content somebody has flagged nsfw? I would go with daniels suggestions from above.
In my opinion it's no form of surpressive information control but a feature for each user to filter the stream. E.g. when I'm on a conference or another public, scrolling a little about my soup I don't wanna see tits in the stream I'm scrolling through.
